Early 20th Century Granite Water Pot from China

Carved from a single granite block, this pot comes from the Shandong area in China. It is about 100 years old and would have been used to store water for household use. 
 
With external hand carved decoration in a simple geometric design, this substantial pot could be used as a water feature or could be planted in the ground.
